Western brands are making their way into the end zone this college football season with some top-notch collaborations.
It's no secret that the West loves sports. And it's also no secret that the sports world loves the West either. All it takes is a sharp eye for your favorite Western brands to see that Western style has and continues to permeate the world of college athletics. From Lucchese on the football field to Tecovas on the track field, here are some of the Western brands you may have missed during your Sunday watch party.
Tara Davis and her Tecovas
From the collegiate track to the Olympics, long jump extraordinaire Tara Davis has been showing her Texas pride while blowing minds with her incredible athleticism on the field. During her college career at the University of Texas at Austin, Davis grabbed the record for the American junior indoor long jump and won several championships for the team. She placed 6th in the 2021 Summer Olympics, and has been blazing her trail as a winner ever since. In June of 2021, Davis won the NCAA championship for women's long jump, and celebrated by taking her victory lap in her favorite Tecovas, showing her Texas spirit.

Texas traveling in style with Lucchese
What is a quarterback without his offensive linemen? University of Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers knows this better than anyone. Ewers showed his appreciation for the players that have had his back this season by gifting them with some Lucchese overnight bags before the Red River Showdown on Oct. 8. The Texas/OU game ended 49 - 0, leaving Oklahoma in the dust for the season. Our guess is that those Lucchese bags really did the trick.

TCU Showgirls showing style in Justin Boots
Cheerleaders really are the unsung heroes of college football, leading and channeling the crowd's team spirit through gravity-defying moves. Justin Boots showed their gratitude for Texas Christian University's Showgirls by gifting them some custom TCU cowgirl boots this September. The TCU dance team has been wearing signature cowgirl boots since 2010, and the bright purple and white Justin Boots fit perfectly into the iconic Showgirl outfits.

SMU Pom Squad in some City Boots
When one of your alumni owns a prestigious boot company, it's only a matter of time before you get some new boots. Last September, City Boots Founder and Southern Methodist University alum Lizzy Bentley presented the SMU Pom Squad with some custom Game Day boots. Lizzy Bentley has been a C&I favorite for her contribution to Western style and culture with her podcast, Kirbe Appeal, along with her Western boot brand.
Quinn Ewers works with Wrangler
University of Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is back, this time with Wrangler. This August, Ewers began a collaboration with Wrangler to produce a line of collegiate Western wear. In an Instagram post announcing the deal, Ewers said "My first pair of jeans were Wrangler and I’ve been wearing them ever since." His new line includes some classic denim pieces, such as a longhorn denim jacket, a longhorn denim shirt, a Texas football T-shirt, and more.
