The actress’ much-loved equestrian ranch in Santa Clarita, California is on the market.
Actress Linda Gray, best known for playing Sue Ellen Ewing in the long-running television show Dallas, is selling her three-acre equestrian ranch in Santa Clarita, California. Gray has listed the property for $2.995 million after living there almost 50 years.
Gray played the long-suffering wife of Larry Hagman’s character, J.R. Ewing, in the hit TV series from 1978 to 1991. The role propelled her to stardom and landed her several Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Although her fictional life on Dallas might be considered dysfunctional, she created a peaceful existence at Oak Tree Ranch.
She and her former husband Ed Thrasher found the property while helping friends from Tennessee look for a ranch to buy. They named it Oak Tree Ranch because there are numerous oak trees on the property, many of which are believed to be more than 500 years old.

Only 35 minutes from Beverly Hills, the gated equestrian estate has numerous structures and amenities such as stables for horses, a tack room/barn, a tennis court, large swimming pool with spa, gardens, koi pond, and even a chicken coop.
There are 4,800 square-feet of living space between the main house and two-story guest house. One of Gray’s favorite rooms is the Josh Schweitzer-designed kitchen, and a favorite feature are fireplaces high enough to be seen while lying in bed or while working at the kitchen counter.
Gray says the home “hugs you with its warmth.”
