The history of Corral Boots is steeped in detail, imagination, and hard work.
Since their establishment in 1999, Corral has used age old-craftsmanship techniques and evolving innovative technologies to create handmade boots of incomparable quality and iconic style. Corral was the first Western brand to introduce the concept of a fashion-forward cowboy boot to the world, which revolutionized the industry and created a shift in the perception of Western fashion. This established a strong foundation for Corral as a pillar brand within the Western community and they have since then continued to push the limits and elevate the industry as a whole.
As a family-owned and operated company, Corral is committed to, and heavily immersed in, every single step of the boot making process. They employ over 2000 individuals on various contents globally with distribution to over 1000 retailers. They own and operate the farms that supply the brand’s skins to ensure sustainable sourcing. This heavily involves them in communities all over the world, from Asia to South Africa to Mexico — creating a socially responsible way of life and providing employment to families globally.
Corral also has ownership of the tanneries and factories where their leathers are processed and produced into boots, further upping the quality and integrity of the brand and its standards. Each Corral boot maker is hand selected and trained as an artisan, educated in the Corral brands. Corral’s investment in its employees and artisans only further ensures the highest quality standard in hand crafting.
Before Corral develops a technique or gives birth to an idea, it all begins with inspiration. A sunset, a texture, a place, a notion, or a statement. Embodied in every pair of Corral boots is a muse or a catalyst that stirred a vision and a concept that is brought to life. From there, the idea evolves into a map with a specific path to reach its destination.
The design and production process are no exception. The detail, imagination, inventiveness, and hard work that go into creating the step-by-step processes for each pair of boots is a labor of love that tells a story. Each handcrafted process has its own breakdown and skillset, which makes every single one a unique and crucial piece to the puzzle as a whole picture. From the farms and tanneries, to the hand selecting of leathers for each pair, and the hand lasting and finishing of each boot, Corral ensures no corners are cut.
Every component of the boot making process is given the expertise and attentiveness that it required to make it a success. All pairs of Corral boots have a story to tell, a unique statement to make. Just as each individual is noteworthy and exceptional, so are every pair of Corral Boots. Our goal is to set a new standard, taking over 200 steps before you take one.
