The Nashville-based singer-songwriter offers an acoustic version of her latest single.
After attracting attention with her debut single “Water Down the Whiskey” — which climbed to the No. 29 position on the Music Row charts and inspired a debut music video that wowed her fans — Nashville-based singer-songwriter Paige King Johnson is back with her second single, “Just Like You.” And C&I is pleased to premiere the video showcasing her acoustic version of her song.
To be sure, the heartfelt tune doesn’t start out like most love songs. But it has an unexpected twist of gentleness and sentimentality that just might make anyone listening to it fall in love. And while “Just Like You” stands in stark contrast to the sass and brass of “Water Down the Whiskey,” Johnson says she is excited to reveal a more tender and vulnerable side of herself.
“My main goal with music,” Johnson says, “is to keep it authentically me and authentically country. As long as I continue to achieve those two things, I will remain satisfied and happy on this journey, no matter where it takes me.”
