Alex Hall’s debut EP, Six Strings, is out February 5 — and it’s good.
I have one thing to say to Alex Hall: Just stop it, okay?
In this one promo photo, the singer-songwriter from Gainesville, Georgia, is wearing all black, which gets me every time. And beyond the black T-shirt with the James Dean rolled sleeves and the not-too-tight black jeans, there’s the big manly middle-finger turquoise ring, a silver religious medal, and a leather guitar strap slung with a creamy probably-used-to-be-white-before-nightclub-smoke-yellowed-it Fender Telecaster.
Did I mention the bedroom eyes?
Make that two things to say to him. The second is, Love everything I’ve heard so far from the debut EP, Six Strings — really excited it’s officially out February 5.
With six songs centered around the guitar, it features six very special guests: Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, John Osborne (of Brothers Osborne), Tenille Townes, Kassi Ashton, and Brad Tursi (of Old Dominion).
We’re happy to be premiering a special video of “Heart Shut,” with Tenille Townes. The two wrote the song together while doing a round at the storied Bluebird in Nashville.
It’s all melody and chemistry and poignant harmonies.
One final thing to say to Alex Hall: We can’t keep our hearts shut either.
