The Oregon-based whisky brand is donating money to provide relief for athletes unable to compete this rodeo season.
With COVID-19 interrupting this year's rodeo season and cancelling many events, professional cowboys and cowgirls are finding fewer opportunities to earn a paycheck. As the official whisky and official spirit of the Professional Bull Riders and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association organizations, respectively, Pendleton Whisky knows just how the athletes are being affected and is jumping to help.
On Thursday May 21, the blended whisky brand announced its donation of $100,000 to the Western Sports Foundation's Protect the Ride campaign, which provides relief for Western athletes facing financial hardship.
Pendleton Whisky invites everyone, Western sports fan or not, to support the campaign by going online to donate directly or by purchasing a Pendleton Whisky bandana (all proceeds go directly to the fund).
