Join us Sunday as we tune in to the star-studded extravaganza on CBS.
The Academy of Country Music Awards might be delayed until Sept. 16, but you won’t have to wait that long for a star-studded county extravaganza. CBS and CBS All Access will air at 8 pm ET/7 pm Sunday ACM Presents: Our Country, a two-hour entertainment program that will feature intimate conversations with, and at-home acoustic performances by, a multitude of top artists, along with clips of their favorite moments from the AMC Awards’ 55-year history.
According to CBS, “The biggest stars in country music will be practicing social distancing and staying home, but also invite fans to join them for… a new kind of entertainment special.” CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King will serve as emcee for the big show, which will feature, among other highlights, a heartfelt tribute to the late, great Kenny Rogers by Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker and Luke Bryan
And we’ll be Live Tweeting the whole shebang. Just look for the hashtag #ciACMusic, and feel free to join us with your own comments throughout the two-hour telecast.
But wait, there’s more: At 7 pm ET/6 pm CT, there’ll be a digital pre-show program available for streaming on the ACM Facebook page and Amazon Music on Twitch. That’s when Chris Young will offer a tribute to Joe Diffie, who passed away March 29 due to complications related to COVID-19. Also slated for the pre-show: Performances by Lee Brice, Lauren Alaina and Ingrid Andress, among others.
