The singer-songwriter debuts her latest single “Broken Roses” for World Mental Health Day.
The song: The latest single from Ana Cristina Cash, “Broken Roses,” raises awareness to World Mental Health Day on October 10.
About the song: “Broken Roses” details the trials and tribulations of mental illness and drug abuse and documents the heart-breaking effect it can have on those closest to the individual.
Cash on the song: “I am excited to finally share my song and music video for “Broken Roses” with the public. When I was choosing the single for the album, I felt that “Broken Roses” was a very strong song that would create an impact and help others. I wanted the video to have a purpose and help shed light on mental health issues. I have known so many people that have been directly affected by mental health issues and felt the need to create awareness to help break the stigma surrounding it,” says Cash.
About the video: The moving video fallows a couple whose relationship is put to the test when they confront the issues mental health and drug abuse has on their future.
Why we like it: While dealing with the delicate topic covered in “Broken Roses,” Cash lets her vibrant, power-house vocals do all the hard-work. In turn, the song twice as impactful and moving.
