The legendary Texas artist debuts his music video for “Baby, Please Come Home,” exclusively with C&I.
The song: The title track to Jimmie Vaughan’s latest album, Baby, Please Come Home, available now.
The artist: The legendary Austin, Texas-based singer-songwriter and older brother to the late Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan has hordes of fans who can’t get enough of his slick guitar skills and blues-rock sounds. He’s been a fixture on the Austin scene since the late ’60s, and formed the Fabulous Thunderbirds in 1974. These days you can catch Vaughan gearing up for his upcoming tour supporting Baby, Please Come Home, which will see him performing a handful of dates with Eric Clapton and other stars.
About the video: Shot with an old-fashioned sepia tone filter and using footage of classic cars and vintage film clips, the music video for “Baby, Please Come Home” transports you visually and musically to a bygone era of the blues.
Why we like it: Like Vaughan, we dig cool old cars and smokin’ hot guitar. Few artists can sling the six-string as well as this Grammy-winning hot-rod enthusiast does. When you listen to “Baby, Please Come Home,” you’ll want to drive some shiny old muscle car straight to a loud blues joint and stay on the dance floor all night long.
