The country singer-songwriter debuts a live studio performance of his new song, “Heart to Steal Tonight,” exclusively with C&I.
The premiere: “Heart to Steal Tonight,” the third track off of Jon Wolfe’s forthcoming EP, Feels Like Country Music, out June 14.
The artist: Since his first album, the small-town-Oklahoma native turned loyal Texan has been making an impression on the Texas music charts, earning six Top 10 singles with hits “Let a Country Boy Love You,” That Girl in Texas,” “I Don’t Dance,” “It All Happened in a Honky Tonk,” “The Only Time You Call,” and “What Are You Doin’ Right Now.”
About the song: Written by Ben Hayslip, Dallas Davidson, and Kyle Fishman, “Heart to Steal Tonight” is a catchy track that follows the story of a man anxious for his date with his new lady love.
Why we like it: It’s a classic country love song filled with twangy guitar slides and acoustic pickings that cater to honky-tonk nights. And it shows that Wolfe’s his own man with his own twist on country’s latest pop-traditional style.
