The Nashville-based Texas “singer-songrocker” debuts the music video for the single “God Broke the Mold.”
The son of “basically just two hippies,” self-proclaimed “singer-songrocker” Hunter Tynan Davis was born on the Gulf of Mexico and raised by his parents and grandfather on his grandfather’s shrimping boat and in Southeast Texas. He knows a thing or two about life on the water and division one college football — his life before eventually following the call of music and moving to Nashville.
With that unusual background, it’s perhaps no surprise that Davis can really put across a romantic song. Check out his “God Broke the Mold”: Cushioned with soulful vocals and hypnotizing guitar picking, the dreamy acoustic track reflects on new, true love. The new black-and-white video fittingly presents an elegantly spare and heartwarming performance.
“[This is] a stripped-down and subtly vulnerable music video, highlighting the poignant aspects of a budding relationship with a pleasant surprise ending that gives the song an unexpected new dimension,” says Davis.
