Coming soon to a theater or streaming platform near you: Golden Globe and Emmy Award winners Cybill Shepherd and James Brolin star in Being Rose, an indie-produced romantic drama filmed on location in and around Truth or Consequences, N.M.
What’s it all about? Widowed ex-cop Rose Jones (Shepherd) learns that she may have a life threatening illness, and decides to go on a solo road trip in a motorized wheelchair to explore the beauty of the Southwest. Along the way, she discovers more than just the simple beauty of New Mexico when she meets — and falls in love with — Max (Brolin), an old cowboy who comes to a crossroads of his own.
Pam Grier, Cindy Pickett and Amy Davidson co-star in Being Rose, which was written and directed by Rod McCall, and is slated to open Friday, Jan. 4. Here is a look at the trailer.
