C&I has an exclusive first look at Dillon Carmichael’s new music video for his recently released “Made to Be a Country Boy.”
Twenty-three-year-old country newcomer Dillon Carmichael takes pride in the fact that his music paints vivid pictures of what it means to be a modern American cowboy. His latest track, “Made to Be a Country Boy,” packages that pride in pure vocals and noble lyrics about the importance of a significant father figure and a strong upbringing.
The music video for the song paints equally vivid pictures, bringing to life the Kentucky native’s humble lyrics by following the work routine of a small-town young man, who works on a ranch by morning and at work by day, as he grows older. It turns on a familiar theme in traditional country: the importance of helping your fellow man and your community.
“‘Made to Be a Country Boy’ is a song that means so much to me,” Carmichael says. “I’m just so excited that the video tells a story that captures the true meaning of what I think it means to be country — and not just Southern, but American.”
