Country newcomer Charlie Worsham plays Marty Stuart’s “Tempted” backstage at the Grand Ole Opry.
Before taking the solo route, up-and-coming country artist Charlie Worsham sang harmonies and played mandolin for country-rock band KingBilly. After being featured heavily on KingBilly’s Waiting on You EP, the Mississippi native signed with Warner Bros. Records and has since released two studio albums, Rubberband, which landed at No. 12 on U.S. country charts, and Beginning of Things.
On a recent press tour to promote his single “Cut Your Groove,” from Beginning of Things, Worsham made a stop at the Ryman Auditorium to participate in Radio Replay, a web series produced by the Grand Ole Opry that has artists perform a song they heard on the radio en route to their Opry performance.
Worsham covered one of his favorite songs, “Tempted,” co-written and originally performed by country superstar Marty Stuart.
Check out Worsham’s solo acoustic version, played on Marty Stuart’s 25th Opry anniversary.
