Parmalee performs their song “Sunday Morning” backstage at the Grand Ole Opry.
American country band Parmalee — consisting of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, their cousin Barry Knox, and best friend Josh McSwain — made their Grand Ole Opry debut in 2013, three years after recovering from a near-fatal robbery.
In 2010, after a gig in South Carolina, the band fell victim to a robbery that landed drummer Scott Thomas in a coma. After a year of tough recovery, he was able to play again and the band came back stronger than ever.
After their recovery, the North Carolina natives released their first No.1 US Country Airplay hit, “Carolina,” from their fifth album, Feels Like Carolina, paving the way to stardom.
Now, the band is back with a new album, 27861.
