Following his passion for music, Eric Church packed his bag after college and headed to Music City, where undesirable day jobs and break-ups would be no match for his budding talent. After six months in Nashville, Church was signed to a record label and began recording his first album.
In 2006, country music fans around the world were introduced to Church’s dauntless music with the release of his debut album, Sinners Like Me. The album produced three singles, “How ’Bout You,” “Guys Like Me,” and “Two Pink Lines,” and the title track which reached the Top 20 on the Hot Country chart.
After a flourishing first album, Church would release one other album, Carolina, before earning his first No. 1 single and No. 1 album. Church’s album Chief produced five singles. His singles “Drink in My Hand” and “Springsteen” reached No. 1, while the other three — “Creepin,” “Like Jesus Does,” and “Homeboy” — landed in the Top 20. With more than 1 million records sold, Chief was certified platinum by the RIAA and nominated for Best Country Album at the Grammy Awards.
A seasoned chart topper after his fourth album, The Outsiders, Church’s latest record needed no introduction, hitting stores without any advertisement.
