Country stars come together for “An Acoustic Evening with Patty Griffin & Lee Ann Womack tour,” kicking off next month.
Known for her contemporary take on old-fashioned music, Lee Ann Womack has become a staple in country music. The Texas native has released several hits, including “I Hope You Dance” and “I Hate Myself in the Morning,” and has sung award-winning duets with July C&I cover man Willie Nelson and R&B star John Legend. Now, Womack is pairing with longtime friend, collaborator, and fellow songwriter Patty Griffin for her next endeavor.
Griffin, a well-known American singer-songwriter and musician, has a genius for character-driven storytelling songs. An accomplished performer in her own right, her songs have been covered by Emmylou Harris, The Dixie Chicks, Joan Baez, Bette Midler, and many others. Together, Womack and Griffin make for one unique and talented collaboration.
Beginning July 22 in Birmingham, Alabama, the Grammy Award winners are teaming up for a seven-night, once-in-a-lifetime co-headlining tour entitled An Acoustic Evening with Patty Griffin & Lee Ann Womack.
The string of shows promises a night with two of the best singer-songwriter performers in country music and will include personal sets by Womack and Griffin before a concluding set of special duet performances.
