Little Big Town performs their hit song “Boondocks” during their Grand Ole Opry induction.
Little Big Town have been making the headlines lately with the success of their new single, “Better Man,” a breakup anthem written by Taylor Swift, and the release of their highly anticipated eighth studio album, The Breaker, in stores on February 24.
The band — founded by members Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet — released their self-titled debut album in 2002. In 2005, they would go on to release their second studio album, The Road to Here, earning the group its first platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
Now, with seven studio albums and their eighth about to drop, the bandmates from Alabama continue to rack up hit after hit, including chart-toppers “Pontoon” and “Girl Crush” and Top 10 hits “Boondocks” and “Bring It On Home.”
In celebration, we’re showcasing Little Big Town’s performance of “Boondocks” during their induction to the Grand Ole Opry on October 17, 2014, as our latest Opry Performance of the Week.
