Famous faces in the country music world and beyond will come together for the genre’s big night and the most star-studded music video in country history.
The CMA Awards will be airing at 7 p.m. CT tonight live from Nashville, Tennessee, on ABC. The show is slated to break records, as it’s the award show’s 50th anniversary event, with hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood leading the ceremonies.
Presenters include Hollywood sweetheart Jennifer Garner and Texas icon Matthew McConaughey, along with comedian Lily Tomlin and Grease alum Olivia Newton-John. Special appearances will be made from gymnasts Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian, and Aly Raisman, while crowd favorites Reba McEntire, Kacey Musgraves, and the remarkably recovering Randy Travis are among the many artists scheduled for live performances.
In celebration of reaching the 50-year milestone, CMA has created the biggest music video in country music history. The video for “Forever Country” (a medley of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again,” and Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You”) features 30 CMA Award-winning acts.
