Season 4 will be available for downstreaming starting Thursday on Netflix.
Robert Taylor and Lou Diamond Phillips are back in action as long-time friends and confidants in Longmire, the modern-day western drama set in Big Sky country and based on the series of novels by Craig Johnson. All 10 of the new Season 4 episodes will be available for downstreaming starting at 12:01 am PST Thursday, Sept. 10, on Netflix.
The series will resume where Season 3 left off, with lawman Walt Longmire (Taylor) taking off after his wife’s killer, and Henry Standing Bear (Phillips) desperately trying to stop his buddy from giving in to his darkest impulses.
In a recent interview with Christina Radish of Collider.com, Taylor and Phillips waxed enthusiastic about the upcoming episodes — but stopped far short of providing any surprise-spoiling specifics.
Will Season 4 provide a sense of closure for their often-stressed characters? “Oh, hell no!” Phillips replied. “We all need a job in Season 5. We’re not closing anything.”
But seriously, folks: “There are some very dramatic developments in Season 4,” Taylor told Radish. “If something is resolved, perhaps the manner that it’s resolved might blow something else apart. There’s a lot of big stuff going on. It’s very hard to talk about it without giving anything away, but there’s a lot of stuff going on. All will be explained pretty quickly.”
