The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum’s annual Chuck Wagon Festival combines its indoor galleries with a series of special outdoor events. During Memorial Day weekend, May 28 – 29, guests can partake in a number of family-friendly activities, from tasting delicious dishes made by authentic chuck wagon teams to enjoying stage performances and live music. There’s plenty for the little buckaroos to do, too, including dressing up in traditional Western attire, pretending to cook in a wagon camp, and learning to churn butter. Then the whole family can climb aboard a stagecoach or wagon for a ride around the festival grounds.
