Established 20 years ago to show that Cherokees still embrace their living, breathing culture, this annual festival honors the old ways and celebrates the cultural revitalization brought about through the museum’s work. Activities include demonstrations of primitive skills such as building a fire, shooting a blow- gun, basket- and pottery-making, and traditional dancing and singing.
