Billy Ray Cyrus — multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and actor — and his 15-year-old daughter, Destiny Hope “Miley” Cyrus — singer, songwriter, and actor — each have careers that are soaring. Billy Ray’s recent first album for Walt Disney Records, Home at Last, debuted on Billboard’s Top Country Album chart at No. 3 and Billboard’s Top 200 Album chart at No. 20. This achievement marks Cyrus’ highest chart debut since his 1993 CD release It Won’t Be the Last. The single “Ready, Set, Don’t Go,” written by Billy Ray along with Casey Beathard, features a duet with Miley and at press time had moved up to No. 8 on the Country radio charts. In addition to cutting the new album, 2007 was a huge year for Billy Ray in many areas: He became a semi-finalist on Dancing with the Stars;starred in the four-episode CMT reality series Home at Last; made appearances on numerous national television shows; launched his concert tour; wrapped production on a new movie, Flying By; and co-starred with Miley in the hugely popular Disney Channel Original Series Hannah Montana
