Free for you to view on YouTube: Django, Sergio Corbucci’s classic 1966 Spaghetti Western, starring Franco Nero in the title role of a mysterious stranger who wanders into a Tex-Mex border town, and pits two rival gangs against each other. Director Quentin Tarantino – an avid admirer of Corbucci – pays tribute to this and other Corbucci westerns in his new Django Unchained, which features Nero cleverly cast in a cameo role. You can read more about Django – and a lot more about Django Unchained – in the January issue of Cowboys & Indians.
