Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation marches for rescue-animal awareness on June 8 in Nashville; adoption drive continues through CMA Music Festival.
Miranda Lambert is known for her extraordinary talent in country music with hit songs like “Vice” and “The House That Built Me,” but the talented singer also has a heart of gold when it comes to animals.
Through her MuttNation Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in 2009 by Lambert and her mother, Bev, the country superstar has shone a spotlight on rescue animals to ensure that as many dogs as possible might have a safe and loving place to call home.
Through the foundation Lambert has created the MuttNation Pet Collection; the collection includes bedding, collars, leashes, toys, apparel, accessories, feeding and watering products. Proceeds benefit shelters, including the no-kill animal shelter Redemption Ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Now, the Texas native is expanding her humane efforts even more with the first-ever MuttNation March on June 8 in Nashville.
To kick off the MuttNation festivities, Lambert and her rescue dogs will get their “paws” marching from Nissan Stadium, over the Nashville Pedestrian Bridge, to downtown Nashville.
Country music fans and their pets are encouraged to join in by registering to walk to promote dog adoptions.
“So many shelter pets need a home, so we are going to march to raise awareness,” Lambert says in a press release. “Country music has the best fans in the world and together we can help so many animals find amazing homes.”
Labert’s MuttNation March will conclude just steps away from the Music City Center, where the MuttNation Foundation Adoption Drive will take place inside CMA Fan Fair X. The drive will continue throughout CMA Fest. The MuttNation Adoption Drive will feature a photo booth, the MuttNation mobile unit, and the family favorite “Puppy Corral.” The goal is to find shelter dogs forever homes. The MuttNation Fueled by Miranda Lambert Pet Collection will be available for purchase, with a portion of those proceeds benefitting MuttNation Foundation.
If you’re not able to participate in the March, fans can still help. Through June 19, fans can visit the MuttNation Foundation to enter the MuttNation Shelter Day Sweepstakes, where you and a guest have a chance to win a day with Miranda Lambert making over an animal shelter in need.
