Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are back in the Yellowstone spinoff premiering May 15.
“A legacy is a beautiful thing,” Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) says midway through the explosive first trailer for Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spinoff premiering May 15 on Paramount+. “But only if it survives.”
Survival once again seems to be the name of the game for Beth and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) in the new series, which finds the power couple fighting to forge a future for themselves in Texas, far away from Montana's Yellowstone Ranch.
Unfortunately, as usually happens to characters in any show produced by Taylor Sheridan, their optimistic plans are upended by unexpected events. Specifically, according to the announcement released Monday by Paramount+ along with the first-look trailer, Beth and Rip “collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire. In South Texas, blood runs deeper, forgiveness is fleeting, and the cost of survival might just be your soul.”
Just as important: Judging from a fleeting image in the trailer, some more folks may be taking a one-way trip to the train station.
By the way: If the music underscoring the trailer sounds vaguely familiar, it’s an effectively portentous cover of a song by, no kidding, Eminem: “Till I Collapse.”
Dutton Ranch will feature the return of Finn Little as Carter, Beth and Rip’s adopted son. The new series also stars Oscar nominees Ed Harris and Annette Bening, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, and Natalie Alyn Lind.
Paramount+ will launch Dutton Ranch with two back-to-back episodes beginning at 8 p.m. ET May 15. The remainder of the nine-episode first season will stream on a weekly basis.

And before you ask: Yes, there may be a crossover between Dutton Ranch and another Yellowstone spinoff, the hit CBS series Marshals featuring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, Beth’s brother.
As director and executive producer Christina Alexandra Voros told The Hollywood Reporter, “There’s so much potential in having all of these spinoffs in the universe, you would love to see what could come of that.”
