Malcolm Goodwin of TV’s Reacher and iZombie stars in the Civil War-era thriller set for a June 6 release.
“You and your team can walk out of here with the promise of freedom. Or you and your men can be put six feet under.”
Given that choice by a demanding Union officer near the start of Resurrection Road, a Civil War-era horror thriller set for a June 6 theatrical, digital and on demand release, ex-slave Barabbas (Reacher, iZombie) has little choice but to lead what can only be described as a suicide mission.
Their objective: Infiltrate a heavily guarded Confederate fort hidden deep in the Arkansas wilderness, destroy the fort’s long-range guns, and shift the tide of the war.
Not surprisingly, however, the assignment turns out to be even more difficult — and much more terrifying — than they imagined.
Other teams have previously been sent on the same mission, but no one has ever made it back alive. It doesn't take Barabbas and his men to find out why.
Indeed, as they venture further into enemy territory, the soldiers uncover a dark and sinister secret buried within the heart of the woods — one that will test their courage, loyalty, and ability to survive like never before.
Written and directed by Ashley Cahill, Resurrection Road co-stars, among others, Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), Jeff Daniel Phillips (Dexter: Original Sin), Randall J. Bacon (Darkness of Man), and Okea Eme-Akwari (The Walking Dead). Here is the first trailer for the Saban Films release.
