Livi Birch stars in the new series from Great American Pure Flix premiering July 25.
Mark your calendar: Shadrach, the new family-friendly series from AFFIRM Originals, a division of Sony Pictures, will premiere Thursday, July 25 on the Great American Pure Flix streaming platform. The drama will kick off with two back-to-back episodes at 7 pm ET, and continue with four additional episodes weekly through Aug. 22.
Created by Holly Goldberg Sloan (Angels In The Outfield) and executive produced by Sean McNamara (Reagan), Shadrach tells the story of the Wilson family’s move from the city to the country. Not surprisingly, the Wilsons have many adjustments to make as they acclimate themselves to their new surroundings. But when 12-year-old Anna Wilson (Levi Birch) takes a shortcut through the woods on her way home from school, she encounters a majestic horse that changes all their lives forever.
“I’m so proud to share this incredible family series with the world and for all you horse lovers,” says director Sean McNamara, adding: “I’m excited for you to meet Hollywood Accolade, the horse who plays Shadrach.”
Joining Levi Birch (Tulsa) in the cast are Cale Ferrin (Endlings), Catherine Urbanek (Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life), and Phillip Boyd (The Haves & The Have Nots).
According to a Great American Pure Flix press release, Shadrach is the fourth original series to premiere on the streaming platform this year. So far in 2024, the streamer also has debuted Going Home (Season 2), County Rescue, and the Harry Lennix-starring original Destination Heaven.
