Western-inspired fashion is the hottest trend of 2021, and Arkansas rodeo queen Ja'Dayia Kursh gives us a sneak peek of the new collection from the Queen of Pop.
It's all over the headlines — Western-inspired fashion is the hottest trend of 2021. Celebrities are sporting cowboy boots, cowboy hats are dotting beaches and outer space, and even Beyoncé has announced a rodeo-inspired clothing line set to release August 19. The "IVY PARK Rodeo" collection designed by the pop star herself represents black cowboy and cowgirl culture, and it combines classic Western looks like denim, cowhide print, and fringe with modern streetwear.
Although Beyoncé's limited-time collection doesn't go live until the end of this week, we got a sneak peek of a few items thanks to the Western industry's own Ja'Dayia Kursh. Kursh, the first black rodeo queen of Arkansas, was gifted part of the collection by the Queen of Pop herself — and she's giving C&I readers a first look at the products before they hit the shelves.
"I felt so special to had been a part of the select few to be selected to get IVY PARK rodeo line before it hit the stores and online," said Kursh on getting the clothing line early. "I have worked so hard time and time again in this industry — it’s insane to see who’s actually paying attention. I would have never thought I would get something so special and limited."
The former rodeo queen and Western influencer received a pair of Adidas sneakers, a denim jacket/dress, a cropped white top, a hat, and her favorite item — denim button-down pants.
Kursh has been a longtime Western fashion enthusiast and is excited to see the styles she loves having a major moment outside of the traditional Western industry. She's excited about the new Beyoncé-designed clothing line and believes it will remind kids that they are limitless and can be whatever they want to be.
