Tune in Thursday, April 23, at 5:00 CST to a BYOP (“Bring Your Own Pet”) foster and new-adopter event.
The other day I did a curbside pickup at Petco for flea medicine for my dogs. So when Petco Foundation e-mailed something about Yappy Hour, I thought it was just follow-up marketing for the products I’d just bought.
But it was something altogether different and really near to my heart. On Thursday, April 23, at 5:00 p.m. CST, there’s a BYOP (“Bring Your Own Pet”) Foster and New Adopter “Yappy Hour.” (Register here.)
The live event will feature panelists who will answer questions, give tips, and share stories about new fosters and adopted pets.
Fosters and new adopters are encouraged to ask questions for a chance to win a Petco Foundation prize pack including BOBS from Skechers shoes (five winners will be selected live). Skechers gives back to the Petco Foundation when you buy BOBS shoes and apparel to help adoption agencies and shelters save pet lives.
On Petco Foundation’s website there’s livestream support for fosters and adopters, where you can tune in to an interactive livestream series and get support from a team of experts. Previously recorded livestreams you can access for free include Cat & Kitten Q&A with Jackson Galaxy, Setting New Routines: Petco Positive Dog Training, Cat & Kitten Caregiving: Maddie’s Fund, Living Successfully With Dogs with Victoria Stilwell.
If just 2 percent of the pet-owning households in America fostered one pet a year, we could stop euthanizing healthy pets in shelters.
While we go through a historically tough spring, Petco is working on helping pets weather it too and has committed $10 million to animal shelters and rescues to help save animal lives across the country.
