We know a martini is technically made with gin, but sometimes it’s necessary to stir the pot. That is where vodka and whiskey come into play. So shake things up today, National Martini Day, with these cocktail recipes.
Whiskey Watermelon Martini

2 ounces TX Whiskey
1 ounce watermelon juice
½ ounce lime juice
½ ounce simple syrup
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, fill with ice, and shake until well-combined. Strain over fresh ice in a glass.
Spicy Peach Martini
2 ounces Deep Eddy Peach Vodka
1 ounce pineapple juice
½ ounce lime juice
½ ounce simple syrup
3 jalapeño slices, de-seeded
Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake. Pour into a martini glass. Whether you strain to withhold the jalapeño slices or go all-in with the chile is up to you.
Lemon Basil Martini

2 basil leaves, plus one more for garnish
¼ ounce simple syrup
2 ounces Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka
Ice
Muddle basil and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka and ice. Shake and
strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with a basil leaf.
Chocolate Martini

3 ounces vodka
1 ounce Dude, Sweet Chocolate One Night Stand Potion
Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker, shake, and pour into a martini glass.
Fiestatini

1¼ ounces vanilla vodka
1 ounce prosecco
½ ounce cranberry juice
½ ounce simple syrup
Whipped cream, to top
Sprinkles, for garnish
Pour ingredients into cocktail shaker together with ice and shake. Strain and pour into glass. Add whipped cream to top and garnish with sprinkles.
