Hear artists from Bingham's The Western Music Festival, hitting Central Texas this weekend.
How about some soul-stirring Americana tunes to take you from Friday into the weekend? The playlist below comes courtesy of the Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham, who this weekend debuts a new festival he's curated. The Western Music Festival will feature Bingham, Old 97's, Son Volt, Elizabeth Cook, and more Americana stars performing and mixing it up in the storied Central Texas town of Luckenbach (you know, where Waylon and Willie and the boys felt no pain).
See the poster below, but before that, hit play on the Spotify playlist that Bingham himself rounded up for our readers. And if you think you can get to The Western Music Festival, here's how you get tickets.

More from the official festival press release: "Dust off those boots – Ryan Bingham is bringing The Western Music Festival ... this coming April. 'When I started playing music it was around Austin and the Hill Country area in Texas and there were always campfires and picking circles and I loved being a part of that,' he says. 'But the more you start touring and the bigger the shows get, the less you get to be around that kind of environment. So I wanted to create an event that has a little bit of that. That’s why we are doing a super small acoustic song swap and a dinner on the first night of The Western and then a full day of music the next day. In festival terms it will still be an intimate setting and my wife and our team are making sure we create something that will really be a special experience for everyone.'"
