Bid adieu to 2018 and welcome in the new year with these cocktail recipes, black-eyed peas included (sort of).
These cocktails will make the turn of the year a happy one.
BLK EYE Bulldog

1¼ ounces BLK EYE Vodka
1¼ ounces root beer
1¼ ounces coffee
Half-and-half
In a pre-chilled glass filled with ice, mix vodka, root beer, and coffee. Top with a splash of half-and-half.
BLK EYE Dog

1¼ ounces BLK EYE Vodka
4 dashes lime juice
Grapefruit juice
Lime wheel, for garnish
Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a salt-rimmed glass. Top with grapefruit juice and garnish with lime wheel.
Mother Mimosa

1 ounce Deep Eddy Peach Vodka
½ ounce peach purée
4 ounces orange juice
Prosecco
Two cherries, for garnish
Add vodka, peach puree, and orange juice in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a champagne glass. Top with prosecco. Garnish with cherries.
Flagstaff Fashioned

2 ounces Cave Creek Bourbon, or preferred bourbon
2 dashes bitters
1 Luxardo cherry
1 sugar cube
1 giant ice cube
Orange peel
Add ingredients to shaker. Muddle sugar cube, add ice, and shake. Rub rim of the glass with orange peel. Strain shaker contents into a glass with a glass with giant ice cube. Garnish with orange peel and Luxardo cherry.
Sparkling Pomegranate Margarita

¾ ounce Dulce Vida Blanco
3 ounces champagne or sparkling wine
¼ ounce pomegranate juice
Pomegranate seeds
Pour Dulce Vida Blanco and pomegranate juice in champagne glass. Top with champagne or sparkling wine. Garnish with pomegranate seeds and enjoy.
Agave Old Fashioned

¾ ounces Cimarron Blanco (or your preferred blanco tequila)
¾ ounces Toro de Lidia Extra Añejo or your preferred añejo tequila)
½ oz Mezcal Vago (or your preferred mezcal)
1 teaspoon dark agave nectar
2 dashes orange bitters
Orange peel, for garnish
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add the ice and stir with bar spoon for 10 – 15 seconds. Strain the cocktail into an old fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish the cocktail with an orange peel and enjoy!
Open House Margarita

1 ounce Whiskey Del Bac – Clear
½ ounce Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
½ ounce simple syrup*
2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
Squeeze of lemon
Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker, add ice, shake vigorously. Serve in a cocktail coupe.
*Adjust the simple syrup based on how sweet or tart the grapefruits are.
