Perfect for platters and place mats and serving sweet potato pie, here’s some Western dining room inspiration for you this Thanksgiving.
When it comes to dining room inspiration, some folks crave the glamour of a chalet-chic mountain cabin. For others, it’s the California coolness of Big Sur, with timber trestles and vaulted ceilings. Yet, you probably have friends that favor the clean lines and white walls of urban minimalism with a little tofurkey on the side. For me, it’s a casual and classic kind of country space – a dining table where one might carve a (real) turkey at lunch before playing a round of dominoes later that night. Better still, it’s the worn-out pine floors from years of muddy dogs and big family gatherings that lead you right where you want to go—home, whatever that looks like to you.
We asked architects and designers everywhere from Jackson Hole to Los Angeles to share some of the dining spaces inspiring them this Thanksgiving season.
