Everyone’s favorite tequila drink gets a kicking infusion for its special day.
We have a thing for agave spirits, especially mezcal and tequila. Lucky for us, February 22 gives us all the more reason — we’re adults, we don’t need excuses — to raise a glass of our favorite neat pour or a pleasant concoction. Texas Ranch Wate is a particular favorite.
But back to February 22, aka National Margarita Day, during which we’ll be sipping the morning (OK, maybe not all morning), the afternoon, and the night away at the J.W. Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa’s Cibolo Moon restaurant.
The resort’s restaurant is a special place. In 2011, Cibolo Moon received the “Award T Recognition” from the Tequila Regulatory Council of Mexico. As part of the recognition, the Cibolo Moon staff has also been trained on tequila guidelines, the history of tequila, agave cultivation, harvesting, and the tequila production process including tasting. If you walk into Cibolo Moon a novice, you could very well walk out with a mid-level degree in agave studies.
Why not start at home with these margarita recipes courtesy Cibolo Moon’s bar team? They’ll fit you to a T.
