The beautiful new upscale boutique hotel The Stella is now open and offering Texas hospitality in Aggie country.
April 6, 2017, marked the opening of one of Bryan-College Station’s newest amenities, a striking upscale boutique hotel that offers an authentic Texas welcome by bringing together a unique blend of art, music, design, and service to make visitors to Texas A&M’s hometown feel comfortable and entertained.
The FAB Studio-designed architecture is crafted with clean, modern lines, creating spacious accommodations and inviting living spaces, while Design DMU decorated the property in country-modern, capitalizing on panoramic views of the Texas landscape and a 5-acre lake.
“We look forward to providing Bryan-College Station with a hotel that embodies its authentic sense of place and culture,” general manager Peggy Trott said in a press release.
For the 12th Man, or fans during football season, The Stella’s rooms and suites boast cozy, yet sophisticated appearances, with select suites offering wraparound balconies with views of the lake, golf course, and Texas A&M University’s iconic Kyle Field.
The hotel also includes some fine food choices at the on-site restaurant, Campfire, helmed by executive chef Zachary Ladwig, who most recently served as the chef de cuisine at the Five-Star, Five-Diamond resort The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The menu promotes locally raised beef from 44 Farms — one of the highest-quality beef farms in the country — slow-smoked proteins, and sustainable seafood.
Guests can also bask in Campfire’s selection of local brews and its fine-tuned wine list, while craft-cocktail enthusiasts can visit the speakeasy-style bar, Hershel’s. The bar offers indoor and outdoor seating, the largest bourbon selection in Brazos County, an exclusive cigar program, and elegant craft cocktails. Another bar, The Watershed, serves as The Stella’s full-service poolside bar. Java aficionados can grab specialty coffee from San Antonio’s Merit Roasting Co. at P.O.V., the sleek café adjacent to The Stella.
The Stella is currently offering a special grand opening deal for guests who book a stay through July 31, 2017, which includes 20 percent off the best available rate and two signature cocktails from Hershel’s.
