Cody Jinks will perform his newest single, “I’m Not the Devil,” on Conan on January 26.
Last year was full of achievements for up-and-coming artist Cody Jinks. He sold more than 80 thousand independent albums; released his latest album I’m Not the Devil, which debuted at No.4 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart, the highest and most successful standing of Jinks’ career; and followed the album’s release with a sold-out three-night run at Nashville’s 3rd and Lindsley.
To top it off, Jinks’ new album landed on the Best of 2016 lists of The Fader, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone Country. Saving Country Music, a website dedicated to country music and its culture, named I’m Not the Devil its No.1 Album of the Year, declaring, “the greatest thing about Cody Jinks is you get a sense the best may be yet to come.” Rolling Stone Country followed up by dubbing Jinks’ sound “equal parts Nineties grunge-rock angst and sneering outlaw defiance.”
With this massive praise, Jinks’ success is expanding and poised to really break out. On Thursday, January 26, Jinks will be making his national-television debut on the hit talk show Conan, performing his hit “I’m Not the Devil” from his recently released album of the same name. The performance will take place one night before his sold-out show at the iconic Los Angles rock club Troubadour.
We’re expecting a lot from Jinks this coming year and can’t wait for his next album and his cover of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here.” In the meantime, listen to his newest album on Spotify, or check it out on iTunes or Amazon and see for yourself why it’s got a five-star rating on both.
