Darius Rucker gives a memorable Opry performance with special guests Big & Rich.
Our performance of the week is Darius Rucker’s rendition of “Wagon Wheel.” Co-written by Bob Dylan and Old Crow Medicine Show’s Ketch Secor, the catchy tune as covered by Rucker hit the radio in 2013, and it wasn’t long before it climbed to No. 1 on the country charts. In his Opry performance, Rucker is joined on stage by Big & Rich, making one of the best musical pairings we never thought we needed.
Rucker has come a long way since the ’90s. His signature baritone has propelled him into an incredibly diverse career. From lead singer of the hugely successful rock band Hootie & the Blowfish to solo country artist with singalong-worthy crowd favorites, Rucker keeps proving that his music and voice stand the test of time, whatever the genre.
Rucker's next performance is a special two-night event September 3 – 4 at the Bank of New Hampshire pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire.
