Horse trainer holds clinics around the country
Arguably Hollywood's top horse trainer, Rex Peterson has trained horses for movies including The Horse Whisperer, Hidalgo, Runaway Bride, City Slickers, and the hit Western Appaloosa (starring Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris, and Jeremy Irons). These are just a few box-office hits — among a long list of films Peterson has worked on over the last 35 years — which feature his horses in costarring roles. When he's in between filmprojects, Peterson shares the secrets of his craft in clinics held around the country. With a lifetime of experience working with virtually every kind of horse in every discipline of riding, he tailors his clinics to meet the needs of the fortunate few who attend — each clinic is limited to just eight participants. "I teach people this is not the only way to do it, but this is how I do it; this is what I've been successful with," Peterson says. To see a schedule of upcoming clinics, visit Peterson's website.
