From July 22-31, 2016 the BraveHearts team of 10 veterans and staff will participate in Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) – the world’s largest outdoor rodeo. BraveHearts will partner with the Bureau of Land Management, Cheyenne Frontier Days and Mantle Ranch to provide an opportunity for 10 veterans to display the skills learned over the course of BraveHearts programs while gentling 22 wild mustangs in only 10 days – in front of a public audience.
The selected military veterans from BraveHearts’ equine-assisted services for veterans will work alongside trainers to coach the mustangs throughout the full duration of the event. At the end, the newly gentled mustangs will be available for adoption.
