The Best of Don Edwards

"The Minstrel of the Range" is at his finest in this timeless collection from Don Edwards' last three releases on Warner Western. A collection of 10 previously released tracks and two unreleased performances, The Best of Don Edwards reflects his over 30 years of musical talent and his cowboy poet gifts.

Classics include "West of Yesterday," a song that took honors at The Cowboy Hall of Fame with a Wrangler Award in 1996, and "Goin' Back to Texas." First released in 1993, this nostalgic Edwards' hit is still a true blue tribute to cowboy grit.

Long-time Edwards fans will be pleased with two new traditional ballads, "The Cowboy Life," and "Lone Star Trail." The latter celebrates the lifestyle of the cowhand so eloquently:

I love the rollin' prairies,
they're free from care and strife
Behind a bunch of longhorns,
I'll journey all my life.
