Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering

Get your fill of cowboy poetry at the 25th anniversary event.

Need to get your Western heritage fix this week? Well, you’re in luck, because Prescott is hosting the 25th annual Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering August 9 – 11. What’s in store for their silver anniversary? A stellar lineup of poets and singers who have performed at the event over the past 25 years. Head to the Yavapai College campus for two days and three nights of entertainment, where more than 70 performers will take the stage and share the culture of the American cowboy. A self-described family reunion, the “Time Flies”-themed gathering kicks off Thursday night with a performance by iconic cowboy singer Don Edwards. Other don’t-miss acts include the ever-popular band The Desert Sons, Gail Steiger, Amy Hale Auker, and Bud Strom.
