Way Out East
Custom made concho design bracelet from Broken Road Mercantile.
New Yorker Arnold Goldstein has been re-creating the West in his work for more than 50 years, and what began as a teenage passion has long developed into a lifelong commitment. A chance encounter in 1968 with then-unknown fashion designer Ralph Lauren gave Goldstein’s Western- and American Indian-inspired jewelry line new life when Lauren asked him to design a line of belt buckles and bolo ties. The relationship continues to this day, but Goldenstein also commands a loyal following all his own. Case in point: his popular concho bracelet. Ranging in length from five to eight conchos for a custom fit, the bracelet sits atop strips of durable leather fastened with a signature toggle latch. With more than 250 designs to choose from, this striking fashion statement can be crafted of brass, sterling silver, or 18kt or 24kt gold and enhanced with semiprecious stones. Prices start at $395.
