That's D'Amore

If H.G. Wells ever spent much time in the Southwest, he might have conceived a piece such as this. You can imagine this buffet holding the beakers, books, and dishes of some scatterbrained professor mining the West for the elixir of life. Or you can picture it in the home of the cowboy and cowgirl who have an eye for décor that is as commanding as it is enchanting. The staff at D’Amore Interiors travels long and far in search of an ecclectic assortment of Mediterranean, mountain, modern, Southwestern, and Western furnishings for its Wheat Ridge, Colorado, showroom. And this rare buffet ($11,137) is one of their most treasured finds. The base is constructed from reclaimed wood that still bears remnants of turquoise paint from the original buildings and barns, and the hutch top is made from a gear and copper bowl that were once used in a Brazilian sugar mill. Careful craftmanship blends the two pieces so that the hutch appears to be dipping into the tabletop below as if it were a bronze water mill transcending the rules of nature.
