Rios Interiors
Featuring furniture for the hacienda and ranch lifestyle
In December 2007, Rios Interiors moved from the Dallas Farmers Market to a new location in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, where it is now bordered by such longstanding Texas landmarks as M.L. Leddy’s and Cattlemen’s Fort Worth Steak House. With more than two decades of rustic furniture design under his belt, owner Natividad Rios has built a reputation for excellence worthy of his distinguished new neighbors.
In 1986, Rios emigrated from Mexico to realize his dream of opening a furniture design business. After studying his craft and pursuing a business degree, he founded Rios Interiors in Dallas, featuring furniture for the hacienda and ranch lifestyle. “I knew there was a need for this style in the United States,” he says. “Nobody believed I could sell a piece of furniture in the Dallas Farmers Market, but I did to everybody’s surprise. I knew I had a good product, and I knew there was a market for it.”
Walking into the 13,000-square-foot Fort Worth showroom through handcrafted wrought-iron doors, it feels like you are entering a spacious ranch house on the range. A 22-foot fully stocked bar — looking straight out of the Old West — offers customers a place to wet their whistle while they shop. Many of Rios’ designs are made in Guanajuato, Mexico, an area rich in copper, tin, and gold, and known for its colonial era Spanish-style architecture. More than 60 percent of the designs are exclusive to Rios’ studio, which also features artwork from such artists as Quanah Parker Burgess, the great-great grandson of Comanche Chief Quanah Parker, and Bolivian watercolorist Rudy Suarez.
