Open Range: Lonesome Road Studio's Inspired Buckle

Angie Cornelius brings a bit of nature to your wardrobe.

In rural Illinois, at the end of a gravel dirt road outside a prison town near where the Fox and Illinois rivers meet, Angie Cornelius of Lonesome Road Studio finds inspiration in seclusion, drawing from her natural surroundings to create her handcrafted jewelry and buckles.

A photograph taken by the artist in the Lonesome Road gardens is what inspired the Movin’ to the Country, Gonna Eat a Lotta Peaches buckle, which features an original painting by Cornelius ($39). Re-creating a bright pink peach blossom, the image is affixed to a cast pewter buckle and finished with a high-gloss epoxy resin to protect the art. www.lonesomeroadstudio.bigcartel.com
