Bejeweled Western-themed flasks
Caye Woolsey transforms hard, cold metal into flasks that are as artful as they are Western.

Silversmith Caye Woolsey grew up on a central Montana ranch riding horses and pushing cattle over the surrounding hills and prairie. She credits the gritty, hard-drinking, card-playing cowboys she knew as a girl for her lifetime passion for all things Western. Fittingly, the first relief-decoration ever featured on a Woolsey custom-made flask was a cowboy. Today Woolsey creates Western-themed flasks in her Lewiston studio in the heart of Montana. "Transforming hard, cold metal into art is incredibly rewarding," she says. Her dramatic, jaw-dropping diamondback rattlesnake design (shown) draped across a hand-forged sterling silver flask artfully captures the serpent's menacing essence. Its green tsavorite garnet eyes blaze. Within the rattler's gaping mouth, Woolsey has set a large flat-backed mabé pearl. Diamonds and diamond-shaped pieces of gold adorn the snake's back. Crowning the flask is a fiery-orange citrine gemstone. Custom designs are also available upon request.
