Coreen Cordova's collectable charm jewelry is timeless fashion

“Charms have meaning to me even beyond the memory,” says Coreen Cordova, whose jewelry company makes attachable charms that can be mixed and matched on her handmade sterling silver chains. Her designs all started with a childhood charm bracelet that she eventually turned into a necklace.
“It is filled with memories: my prom, my first car, my first love. But it goes even further — those memories have meaning in my life. I hope that my line of collectable charms gives meaning to other people as well.”
Cordova’s Western pendant line has been so successful, even she seems surprised: “Never in my wildest dreams!”
Well, we could have predicted it. Cordova’s a cowgirl at heart, and it shows in her sterling-backed charms. Horses and horseshoes, cowboys and cowgirls, Indians and maidens — even Annie Oakley with her gun. And to think it all started with a boot.
You can proclaim your love of the West with any of the dozens of pendant charms in Cordova’s collection. But why stop with a bucking bronc when you can mix in everything from a mythical thunderbird to a delicate feather.
“The other day I wore feathers — seven different sizes and shapes,” Cordova says. “Feathers have spiritual meaning to me. They mean angels and they mean eternity and they mean earth and land and flight. Different times in my life I’ll wear lots of hearts and crosses, or if I’m feeling free, I’ll wear lots of butterflies and flowers.”
