Portrayals of the western landscape, its inhabitants and adornments fill the gallery offering reflection upon the beauty and quintessential nature of wintertime. The show presents works by many of the gallery’s most prominent painters and jewelry artists including Stephen Day, Cynthia DeBolt, Carrie Fell, Edward Aldrich, Cody Sanderson and Ben Nighthorse, among others.
From the shimmering landscapes in oil by Stephen Day, the quiet, semi-abstract paintings of the land by Cynthia DeBolt, the vibrant paintings of western seasonal scenes by Carrie Fell, and the paintings of animals in their winter habitat by Edward Aldrich to the symbolic representations of snow found in the jewelry of Cody Sanderson and Ben Nighthorse, each of these artists expresses the wonderment of winter in their own unique way.
