Kippys clothes and accessories are renowned for their contemporary flash and sass. But their newest line, Med-Evolve, salutes the styles of the art deco period, when American fashion first sparkled. "I wanted to give the jazz age another go-round," says designer and director of marketing Katie Scoggins. "Med-Evolve brings back that era of the 1920s. It's a feminine, edgier style." The line includes a corset skirt — in the three-quarter length favored by flappers back in the Charleston era — and a corset shirt jacket. "The clothes are fitted but flattering, with a lot of intricate detail," Scoggins says. A selection of Med-Evolve handbags accessorizes the collection. Of course, Med-Evolve also sports the trademark fringe and crystal studs that made Kippys famous.
